Street Entertainment In Zandvoort

Every summer there is an array of street entertainment in Zandvoort. There will be musicians, artists, painters, portrait artists and sometimes even jugglers or balloon artists.

Last year we published some pictures of Balloondog Mike - a balloon artist from Vancouver who was busy entertaining people at the bottom of Kerkstraat as we passed by one evening.

Well, now we have given Balloondog Mike his very own page on our website. He kindly let us film some of his amazing balloon making skills and we have uploaded 2 videos that you can watch. So if you did not get to see Mike last year, not to worry!

Sailing Boat On Zandvoort Beach

Sailing is a popular pastime in Zandvoort. There has been a Zandvoort Sailing Club since 1966.

So it's not surprising that on just about any day (in fine weather!) you will see a sailing boat parked up somewhere on Zandvoort beach. Usually, the owner has been out sailing and just come ashore to take a break - going up to one of the beach cafes for a nice broodje and drink perhaps!

The owner of this boat came back soon after we took the shot and went out again, enjoying the sunshine while they could.
